Austin's Pets

Austin has had the opportunity to show the class two adorable pets.  We loved both of them.  Mrs. Harman had a guine pig when she was a little girl so it brought back many memories, but the puppy...Mrs. Harman loves, loves, loves puppies and threatened to take this one home.  He was so calm, sweet, and adorable.  You couldn't help but fall in love with Teddy!!!  Thanks for sharing

Readers Theater

The Second Grade took turns performing poems and plays for each other in the auditorium on Friday, October 15.  We had a blast being on stage.  Everyone did a fabulous job and enjoyed all of the performances.  I loved that we were a great audience for our fellow classmates!  Way to go 2nd Grade!!

More Wonderful Visitors

Mrs. Harman's class had the opportunity to meet Hunter's dad and family pet, KC on Friday, October 15.  What a friendly lab!!  We enjoyed your visit.  Thanks for coming.

Fire Safety Week

The elementary was fortunate enough to have an assembly with the local firemen.  They were very helpful in teaching and reminding us of important tips to keep all of us safe.  We so appreciate the firemen and all they do for our communities.

Birthdays

Last week was very, very busy due to many birthdays and visitors.  Delaney, Nicholas, Donavon, and Olivia all brought yummy birthday treats to share with the class, along with Mrs. Harman.  As you have guessed, we all had too much "fluff" and almost busted our pants!  Regardless, we enjoyed it emmensely!!  Happy,

Field Trip Success

The 2nd Grade Class had a successful field trip!  The weather was fabulous and basically perfect for our travel and picnic.  The matinee kept the students very engaged and entertained.  We loved the life-lessons: don't talk to strangers, don't eat too much junk food, don't keep things from your parents, and that family is very, very important.  What a great day with a lasting experience!!!  Hope you enjoy the slide shows.

Field Trip

Our field trip will occur on Monday, October 4, 2010.  We will be traveling to Ames for a Berenstain Bear's matinee.  We are very excited and will post some photos after the event.  We will be leaving around 9:30 in the morning and will return in time to use the normal busing in the afternoon.

Welcome to 2nd Grade

I am so glad that you are interested in getting to know our classroom.  The classroom is off to a great start and is looking forward to the rest of the year!  We hope to keep you updated and entertained.

` We love having not only parents, teachers, and administrators come to see us but our classmates' pets as well.  Fridays can be very busy days with our visitors, but we love it!!
